The Bleeding Control Basic (B-Con) Course, or "STOP the Bleed," is a grant funded course designed for individuals who have little or no medical training but who may be called upon as immediate responders to provide initial trauma care and bleeding control to a victim of traumatic injury prior to the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS) or in an austere environment. The B-Con course is a joint product of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians’ Prehospital Trauma Life Support. Each student will be provided with a Bleeding Control Kit.
