The Orland Fire Protection District again joins 1 of approx. 388 Fire Departments nationwide—out of roughly 40,000 fire departments—to receive an ISO Class 1 rating. This is thetop rating awarded to any community. More specifically, an ISO Class 1 rating represents an exemplary fire suppression program. It is reviewed through the Public Protection Classification® program. ISO's purpose is to help communities evaluate their public fire-protection services in order to be held to high national standards. This rating is reviewed every 3-5 years and we will always strive to do what is necessary to keep this prestigious rating.
